Tina LaRosa

Tina LaRosa is a singer-songwriter heavily influenced by classic rock legends like Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, Kenny Loggins, James Taylor, and The Beatles. Her modern inspirations include John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Lizzie McAlpine, and other artists who merge folk roots with today’s pop sensibility.

After her mother’s unexpected death in 2019, Tina picked up a ukulele her dad had given her and began writing songs as a way to process her grief. She wrote her first lyrics at 12 years old and never stopped. Throughout the pandemic, she turned to music as therapy, compiling her earliest songs into a debut album, Glass Half Full, which she released at 14. Since then, she has expanded to guitar and released a three-song EP in 2023 focused entirely on grief, donating all proceeds to Experience Camps for Grieving Children.

In 2024, she followed up with an album titled Independent Artist, showcasing songs written on both guitar and ukulele. Her single “Fool” dropped in April 2024. Tina has won several songwriting contests, including a grand prize for a jingle she wrote for MyMuse Organic Drinks and second place for a song submitted to the Partnership for a Drug-Free NJ.

She also writes personalized songs for people in hospice through the nonprofit A Song For You. Tina helped launch GriefSucks.com, a teen-led grief platform by Experience Camps, where she contributed founding content to support other grieving teens. She has been featured in HONK Magazine, Mashable, and the Experience Camps blog, and has appeared on podcasts like Hello My Mom Is Dead and Chat With a Changemaker.

Tina performs live throughout Northern New Jersey and every summer in Long Beach Island, her mom’s favorite place and the setting that has inspired much of her writing. She busked on LBI throughout the summers to sharpen her craft and deepen her connection with listeners. She has also performed at 54 Below, The Bitter End, and other iconic New York City venues.

Tina is currently studying at Berklee College of Music class of 2029. Anyone who knows her would agree that her label name, Radiate Positivity Records, captures both her outlook and her impact.
